Candle Guide

Care & Info

Below you will find visual candle guides along with written instructions. The guides below will cover burning, removing stones, and disposal.

Step 1

Remove Crystals

  • Remove crystal. If you buy a candle with a crystal/stone in it, remove the crystal/stone before burning the candle.
  • Remove wax from crystal. To clean the wax off the stone; first scrape wax off with your fingers or a soft, non-abrasive tool.
  • Wipe Crystals. Wipe the crystals with a damp cloth or wash them with warm, soapy water.
  • Wash Hands. Then enjoy your new candle and crystal/stone.

Step 2

First Burn

  • Surface Safety: Burn candle on a flat, stable, and heat-resistant surface away from flammable objects, children, and pets.

  • Burn Time: Allow the wax to reach an entire pool on the first burn; meaning the liquid wax surrounds all sides of the jar and not just the middle. This usually takes around 2-3 hours, but will depend on the climate you live in. This practice helps guide future burns and to achieve a decent scent throw.

Step 3

Subsequent Burns

  • Trim Wick: Before burning your candle again, clip the wick down by 1/4". This will lower excessive flickering, soot, and mushrooming.

Step 4

Disposal

When the time has come to say goodbye to your candle, there are proper ways to dispose of the remains. You can either:

  • Keep the jar. Our glass jars can be reused for non-food purposes.
  • Recycle the jar and lid. Our jars are 100% glass and our lids are metal.
  • Throw away the jar. Our jars are glass and the lids are metal, they will both biodegrade naturally.
